The lost civilization of Atlantis, one of the most enduring controversies of all time, has haunted scientists and occultists, philosophers and skeptics alike for centuries -- but no conclusive evidence has ever been found. American visionary Edgar Cayce died before he could explain his own theories, but he referred to Atlantis hundreds of time in his remarkably accurate "life readings." Now, armed with Cayce's psychic clues and the latest findings from archaeology, geology, and anthropology, three scholars have traveled the world in search of proof.

Mysteries of Atlantis Revisited takes a scientific look at Edgar Cayce’s "readings" about past and future events. In some of his readings Edgar Cayce, America’s best known and best documented psychic did refer to past earth changes, even mentioning the mythical lost land of Atlantis, and possible future earth changes. Using research techniques not available when Cayce's readings were given, the authors evaluated this information in the light of recent geological and archeological discoveries, including efforts to carbon date the Great Pyramid. St. Martins new edition contains all of the original material plus an update detailing discoveries made between 1988 and 1997 such as:

  • evidence for an older age of the Sphinx

  • an unopened, and up to now, unknown chamber in the Great Pyramid

  • new discoveries in and around Bimini

  • data indicating an increase in worldwide earthquakes of a magnitude greater than 7.0
